  • My players would like to create a collaborative "wiki" for our campaign. What are some tools, services or platforms to enable that? How can I incorporate that into gameplay?
Miraheze seems to be offering a platform to create private wikis and it runs the same software as Wikipedia. You do need to fill out a form and request a wiki but after that you and people you specify should be able to see and edit that wiki (with the exception of the main page which can be seen by everyone). The people over at https://miraheze.org/ have been kind enough to host a wiki for us to upload our lore onto. Source: 12 months ago

For those looking for an alternative to fandom https://miraheze.org is a good choice. Not for profit and they use vanilla mediawiki (what wikipedia uses) instead of whatever abomination fandom has going on. Source: about 1 year ago

  • Cannot deploy site without a 404 error or an issue during build.
I am new to React and it feels like I run into trouble at every turn while I'm coding. Basically there's a project cloning rawg.io and in the course you build an app similar to rawg, without all the fancy features (just a project to add on a portfolio). When I first tried deploying to Vercel, the site deployed but when I opened it I get a 404 error. I figured I would try the same thing on Netlify and no luck. I... Source: 6 months ago
  • Do you use an app to record game progress and completion? What’s a user friendly site/app to use for this?
I've been using https://rawg.io/, it has a simpler interface than howlongtobeat. Source: 10 months ago
  • What steam tags should be used for this game? genre?
Go on this site: https://rawg.io/ Look up a game similar to yours, and boom you can see the actual Steam tags set by the developers. Source: 11 months ago
  • letterboxd/goodreads but for games?
I havent used all these, so your milage may vary, but I was looking for a similar thing not long ago. Https://www.backloggd.com Https://rawg.io Https://wetheplayers.com Https://www.grouvee.com/ Https://gamelib.app/explore Https://backloggery.com/ Https://playnite.link/ There's also just using a spreadsheet, or Notion with a good template. • How specific should your top tags be on steam, in practice?
Https://rawg.io/ is the only website I've found that actually shows the what tags the creators set and what order they're in. Basically just mix and match what other games like your game have done. Source: about 1 year ago
