MetaX for Windows mentions (3)

  • Is it possible to retain custom thumbnails?
As others have said, Handbrake doesn't passthru cover art or thumbnail images. If you wished to add cover art to a Handbrake encoded video file, use MetaX. It's not free, but will add cover art and text that Plex, iTunes etc. Will all recognize. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • noob chapter question?
MetaX tags videos, adding cover art, genres etc. And allows you to specify a chapter interval and create chapters to fit the length of each file. It will tag a single file or a batch of files in a single process. MetaX is not free. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Can I copy Plex metadata to my files?
MetaX works great on MKVs on Windows. You can find it here: http://danhinsley.com/metax/metax.html. Source: almost 3 years ago

Shoko Desktop mentions (14)

  • Anime metadata - an endless quest
Then I found Shoko and was blown away. I found out that not only could I use it to fix the metadata problem, but I could even get it to organize and rename my entire collection. I spent a lot of time configuring this renaming (even making my own fork of ShokoServer because I didn't like their invalid character replacements) and then, after making sure it worked for a few examples, threw my whole library into it. • Help with anime series
Might wanna look into shoko server and shokofin. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Anime on Jellyfin
I've had no issues here with subtitles. Metadata can be a bit janky though, so I use Shoko and the Shokofin plugin to help: Https://shokoanime.com/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • I have an problem with anime metadata
The last time I was looking into this, I came across a couple of projects that are supposed to help you organize your anime library to deal with this kind of stuff, the main current one being Shoko. Some past discussions: [1], [2]. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Personal Music Streaming Cloud
The only way I was able to work around this was by setting up a Shoko server, which fixed all those issues for the most part, although I still have some issues on a few shows. I actually also use Shoko as my primary Plex agent now for my anime libraries and it works pretty well. Source: over 1 year ago
