You might want to look into using giscus[1] for a commenting system on your blog. All it needs is a public GH repository to host the discussions, after which you simply embed a script into each blog post, and visitors will be able to leave a comment using their GH account. Every blog needs some social interaction, like comments and reactions. I didn't want to spend a lot of time on creating a reliable comment system. After some research, I found Giscus which uses GitHub Discussions to integrate comments. It's very easy to customize and use. Just adding one component gave me a fully-functional comment system with authentication and reactions. - Source: dev.to / 11 months ago
Then I met Giscus and a simple local implementation by an ID that all posts have worked without any trouble. However, although this site is simple in its concept, the potential for the Users' engagement via comments can be quite a thing and that could create a rate-limit issue in the future. Fortunately, Giscus can be self-hosted. Source: 12 months ago
