There might not be anything specifically like meetup.com but there are probably things going on. Source: 6 months ago
It is a pain to find a proper badminton community here in Budapest. In other cities, all you needed to do is search up on google and then you are immediately greeted by a bunch of badminton-loving people online. Although there are, some niche and quite hidden badminton meetup groups such as the two large groups on meetup.com, however, the users there are not made to be active and you cannot host meetup events on... Try going on Meetup.com and see if there are activities you and your wife would like to do. There are Meetup groups for just about any interest and you might find something new to try together. Source: 6 months ago
My point is: keep your chin up, mate. You get what you put in, so prepare to work hard for what you want. A good place to start is to find communities centered around your hobbies. You can also use meetup.com . It has a lot of interest groups on there. I belonged to a kick ass book club from that site for years before moving. Source: 6 months ago
I don't have a fancy camera for streaming. I used to use my Logitech webcam, which was fine, but when I finally got a decent iPhone, I was like the camera on this is amazing! I've been using the Camo app for over a year. Works excellent. Even supports viewing the camera over wifi. No cable necessary. It is free for a basic account. Find it here: https://reincubate.com/camo/. - Source: Hacker News / 9 months ago
Just found a good one that works great with a cable connection: https://reincubate.com/camo/. Source: about 1 year ago
Maybe try Reincubate Camo, a software to use the iPhone as camera which is independent of Apple's continuity. I used it on windows when working at home in 2020 and 2021 during pandemic, and it had quite good video quality superior to built in cam of my laptop. They have it also for MacOS. Maybe it's compatible with your MacBook Pro. Source: about 1 year ago
I know you said you don’t want to use continuity camera but if you had an iPad or spare phone (doesn’t need to have a sim), you could use Camo. Source: about 1 year ago
