My name is Micheal Towers. I am the original creator of Masterwriter. I now believe that Masterwriter is a complete waste of time and money. Let me say it again Masterwriter is a complete waste of time and money, as are most of the features of most song writing programs. The only thing a song writing program is good for is organization and a rhyming dictionary. Other than that it's just a time-wasting tech tool.
The other big problem with Masterwriter is that you have to pay for it on a monthly basis. You should be able to buy the program and be done with it.
Another problem with Masterwriter is the design of version 3. In my opinion it really sucks. They would have you believe that all the changes in Masterwriter 3 are major and important. In reality it's the same program as Version 2 with a few minor this and thats.
Don't be fooled! It's a complete waste of your time. Spend more time writing songs and less time tangled up in technology. John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Bob Dylan did not have Masterwriter. Study their songs not the technology of writing programs.
And finally the idea that you're going to write a novel or screenplay with Masterwriter is absurd.
