  • DNS, DKIM, DMARC Management
Managed DNS like NS1 or markmonitor come to mind. Full access to their dns records is needed either way. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Amazon will publish Blue Protocol
What about https://markmonitor.com/ tho? Amazon also uses this service for New World. Doesnt look like a service a random would use for a website without a use. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Domain and Registrar Security Considerations
Registry locks aren’t always easy to get applied to your domains. They add overhead that most retail registrars don’t want to deal with on top of the thousands of “I forgot my password” emails they already get. If you want to registry lock, you have two options. Your first option is to use an enterprise registrar like MarkMonitor or CSC. However, if you go to their websites, you’ll realize there aren’t straight... - Source: dev.to / almost 3 years ago
  • Hold or HODL? exain.gamestop.com - potentially HUGE
I saw in the exain/fyblo video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XA1Mu080iNA at timestamp 3:00 it says onscreen 'Token EXN issuance'. I looked up token EXN and saw the official site was www.exchangen.com/ That didn't lead to a page, and when I tried exchange.com it didn't find any records? whois registrar is markmonitor.com How can this seemingly important domain not lead to anything? Anyway I wasted so much time... Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Ask HN: Seeing Problems with MarkMonitor?
Is anyone else having trouble with MarkMonitor this morning? Records for a site I have registered with them are failing to resolve, and their own site (https://markmonitor.com) was failing DNS lookup until a few minutes ago. I can't find anything on their Twitter or a public status page -- curious if anyone has more information -- thanks! - Source: Hacker News / about 3 years ago

  • Ask HN: Google migrated Google Workspace billing to Squrespace, now what?
I wanted to like Porkbun but failed to buy a .io domain through them because of technical problems on their end. Their website is also a bit programmer-y and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone non-technical. (Eg UX of login flow includes "Leave password blank if using a passkey or passwordless login.") I ended up using http://hover.com. - Source: Hacker News / 12 months ago
  • What registrar is better than LetsHost?
For my .ie domains I use blacknight, hate it but cant be bothered to change, for everything else I use hover.com. They havnt caused me any problems but I don't actually use them for dns thats just where buy the domain. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • How to setup two domains for use with Polylang?
Hey, I am currently creating a multilingual website with Polylang and I want to use two domains. How do I need to setup the domains for it to work? I bought the domains on hover.com and I use Siteground as my hoster, so I changed the nameservers from hover to Siteground for both domains. What else do I need to setup and where exactly? Is this forum the right one to ask for this? If not which one is? Source: over 2 years ago
  • Can't get emails working
At first I was trying to get the hover.com emails to work but their support even recommended going with someone else so I went with MailGun but now I feel like I've either done something wrong from the beginning and need to redo it all or I simply just don't understand what it is I need to do. • Author Website
Beware of "free" domain names or hosting with domain name. It's important that you and you only, control your domain name. If you get a "free" name with a hosting service, you may be tied to that service, no matter how lousy or expensive they become, because they control your domain name. I'm a semi-retired web developer. I recommend hover.com for domain names and Siteground.com for WordPress hosting. And... Source: over 2 years ago
