It is based on mapy.cz [1] - Outdoor layer. It is mostly OSM based (plus lot of their own data for Czechia and Slovakia). Mapy.cz belongs to same guy, who runs Windy (Ivo Lukačovič [2]). IMHO it is best readable map on the internet and when I am used to it, I cant find anything on Google Maps. [1] https://en.mapy.cz. - Source: Hacker News / 9 months ago
As many people pointed out, those are hiking marks. What I didn't see anyone mention is that when you go on en.mapy.cz you can turn on "outdoor map" with all the hiking trails. The colour of the trail in map matches their specific colour on the tree/pole etc... Great way to plan your trip! Source: 11 months ago
You don't have to worry about unsafe places or anything like that - just be careful about tourists traps in Prague - use only ATMs from proper banks, try to avoid small corner shops in the city center as they are overpriced etc. Check honest guide prague on youtube for more information. Use this website for public transport https://idos.idnes.cz/en/vlakyautobusymhdvse/spojeni/ you can find all possible connections... Source: 12 months ago
Btw. https://en.mapy.cz/ with outdoor layer are much better then google maps. Source: 12 months ago
You can use a service like en.mapy.cz to display it. If you enter "Schutzdach" or "Tourist shelter" there, you should get a pretty comprehensive map of locations. Source: about 1 year ago
It seems the feature is a bit more hidden than it used to be, but try going to https://bing.com/maps on a desktop browser (not mobile), and right-clicking somewhere on the map. You will hopefully see the "View bird's eye" option. (If you can't see the option for your location, test with London first - it's definitely available there). Source: almost 2 years ago
Basicaly my face when I read this comment Bing.com/maps. Source: over 2 years ago
