Basecamp Reviews

  1. As a writer, I've been using Basecamp for a few years now and I must say, it has been a game-changer for me. Basecamp is a cloud-based project management tool that offers a suite of features to help teams collaborate efficiently and effectively.

I started using Basecamp as a project management tool to manage my writing projects. Initially, I found it a bit overwhelming, but with time I got used to the interface and the features. Basecamp has a clean and intuitive design that makes it easy to use. The dashboard is well-organized and shows all the active projects and tasks at a glance. Basecamp has a variety of features that make it easy to manage tasks, track progress, communicate with team members, and share files.

    🏁 Competitors: Trello
👍 Pros:    Easy to use|Cost-efficient|Highly customizable
    👎 Cons:    Limited integrations|No time tracking|Limited report

Basecamp vs Pneumatic — From Startup Efficiency to Advanced Workflow Optimization
It’s a bold claim and by most accounts Basecamp executes on it with sufficient success. But then again, as the old saying goes, our greatest weaknesses are extensions of our greatest strengths: adopting Basecamp means that if you want to get the most bang for your buck out of it, you need to migrate everything into Basecamp. It won’t be a big deal if you’re just starting out...

  • QB desktop kicking us out
This question comes up often. I'm a fan of manager.io (it's not as good as QBD, but for many folks it's good enough). Another option sometimes mentioned is GnuCash, which I haven't tried. Source: 5 months ago
  • Make Your Voice Heard
I get your sentiment, but Intuit doesn't care about the protest emails they receive. You don't think they didn't know there would be some response? It would be interesting to have been a fly on the wall with their conversations on this. The answer is to find an accounting program that works for you. It really is voting with your dollars. There have been many suggestions I have read. There is manager.io, wave,... Source: about 1 year ago

  • Quickbooks Desktop price more than doubled for 2023?
I've been shadow-bookkeeping using manager.io for 5 months now. Manager.io isn't quite as mature as QuickBooks Desktop for Mac 2021 but for routine micro-business bookkeeping it's just as good as QB. Everyone has different needs so manager.io may or may not work for you. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Opinions on excel book keeping
There are many, many things that Excel can do. Proper bookkeeping is not one of them. Do not do this. Normally I would recommend QuickBooks, but they're being mega-douches with their price increases this year. But literally any bookkeeping software would be better than Excel. Manager (https://manager.io) is a new desktop option I've learned about recently. It's free for basic stuff, give it a whirl. Or try... Source: about 1 year ago

  • How I Achieved 10x Productivity at Remote Work
Remote work is an established term these days, but back in the days i.e. Prior to COVID or a few more years back, this term was quite alien in the developer community.
