I’m Asian forties also with years of problem acne around the chin area, I used curology.com for their customized acne formula prescribed with their online RN, and now my skin is totally clear. I’m not sure if this forum allows for recommendations, but you can check out their website, there’s lots of before after pics, my customized formula (Trentonin, azaliac acid, chylimatic acid), you take your pictures and... If you want to take all the guesswork out of it, Curology is a great introduction to skincare and it's fairly budget friendly. They'll send you a cleanser, treatment, and moisturizer. All you need to add is an SPF. Source: over 1 year ago
For the most effective yet simple routine, I would say use sunscreen in the am (whatever sunscreen you like), and use Curology in the PM, with a cheap moisturizer on top. Source: over 1 year ago
Curology is a great because if you want those fancy extras (niacinamide, trexanamic acid, azelaic acid etc) you can get them added to your multitasking tretinoin formula. As for sunscreens, the best thing you can do is shop Asian sunscreens like the Skin 1004 Centella SPF or Beauty of Joseon or Skin Aqua Super Moisture Milks. Source: over 1 year ago
