I use Magic Music Visuals. MMV is like $79, and it's really simple if you have any experience with "box and line" software like Reaktor. I tested a bunch of apps, and MMV took me less than an hour to get good results, and it was one of the cheapest. Have you tried Quod Libet[0]? The paned browser is fully customizable, and you can regex search on any tag. I wish it gave more priority to album art, but it's far and away the most powerful browsing experience I've encountered in a music player.
