Yup, I was the author of go-micro. It was very much a standalone Go framework aka common interfaces grouped together for distributed systems development. By using interfaces they effectively became pluggable abstractions for infrastructure. It goes back to, what is a framework and what qualifies as a big framework here. I think classic rails isn't the fit, but something that's an extension of gRPC definitely works. What your trying to do is very difficult (particularly since your data views are relying upon joins and group queries.) You may need layered solutions.
