    I bought my 1st ETH from localethereum.com in 2017 (website doesn't seem to exist anymore). They had an escrow account where I had to deposit cash or bank deposit and the seller had to fund with his ETH. I don't remember the spread since it's been years, however, I would just be very cautious with these websites as sometimes the seller might dupe you into sending an interac e-transfer and might deny sending you...
