  • Inserting a Live Video into Expo React Native App
I want to access livestream.com and pull some live videos from there to stream directly in my app. However, the source uri for the videos on the site do not end in .mp4 as they are live. How am I able to embed a stream from the website onto my expo app? Do I need to access their API even when I am making no requests to write to the service? (All livestream videos on the site can be accessed by the public without... Source: about 1 year ago

  • Livestream (Vimeo) is being sunset? (Also, cannot get the livestream video player to serve anything but the highest quality video on small screens, unless bandwidth is a limitation)
Our Livestream account ran over on bandwidth and while I was looking into ways to reduce usage, I tested downloading videos at different screen widths and noticed that when watching on livestream.com, the highest quality stream is always used, regardless of the window size. • Gallerify - A Fullstack Image Sharing Application Built On Netlify Primitives

Let's make one now. There is a decent selection of these type of animated images on Giphy in the sticker section. I will search for the term "wave". - Source: dev.to / 9 months ago
  • Were gifs from giphy removed? I can't seem to find them in the settings of 2 subs I've checked so far.
'Giphy' is still in operation, which was (AFAIK) the site that Reddit used. Source: 12 months ago
  • What is the estimated cost, to run a site like gfycat?
I can't help you with costs but I read that MP4s are much smaller than GIFs so you could consider converting any format to MP4 before it's hosted. There's a Linux version of FFMPEG that could be hosted online that could do the conversion. Also, certain sites like Reddit only accept GIF's created on giphy.com, if there's a way around this, I'd love to know. Source: 12 months ago
  • Daily Discussion Thread | June 23, 2023
Anyone know how to get a gif to show up here? I made one, then uploaded it to giphy.com but I'm not seeing it. I though tit would automatically show up here once in giphy, but I suppose not. Source: almost 1 year ago
