But I’m used to working in a different language that has a built-in interactive GUI — https://livecode.com so my usual development plan is:. Source: 11 months ago
  • CardStock
Let's not forget that runtime revolution, now called Livecode (https://livecode.com/) still exists and is likely the functional, modern successor to HyperCard. Hypercard Stacks as far as I remember work out of the box too. Historically there was HyperCard, then cross-platform Metacard, which eventually became Runtime Revolution, which apparently is now renamed Livecode! Don't have any skin in it, just sharing as... - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
  • Hypercard got its Color Back
There are several options. LiveCode [1] (formerly open source, now closed) can open HyperCard stacks and is compatible with round 85% of the native syntax - so some things will work, and some bits will need rewriting. I am pretty sure they offer a free trial so you can check to see how well it does at converting your stack before committing. If you are on a Mac, the command-line stackimport tool [2] will convert... - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
  • Hypercard got its Color Back
LiveCode [1] [2] still exists and seems to be actively maintained! Runtime Revolution was the spiritual successor to SuperCard, and made building color, cross-platform stack-like apps totally possible. The language is still very close to HyperTalk, so it has a much shallower learning curve than many C-style languages. 1. https://livecode.com. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago

  • Searching RMM software for few endpoints
Https://github.com/amidaware/tacticalrmm Its rather a PITA to setup (needs a domain name that you can update TXT records on for its certs) once setup, its a VERY nice RMM. Source: over 1 year ago

  • Need to Replace Kaseya ASAP
If your in a pinch and dont want to commit to a vendor just yet you can buy yourself time and deploy TacticalRMM. Its free ($50/m sponsorship gets you code signing). It can integrate with Screenconnect, Splashtop, and Teamviewer but comes built in with meshcentral (which works well, just doesn't do multi-monitor as well as say screen-connect). It does patching really well and scripting is very strong too. Its a... Source: over 1 year ago
  • From MSP to IT Manager/SysAdmin/NetAdmin
I did locate a brilliant Open Source RMM - tacticalRMM (https://github.com/wh1te909/tacticalrmm, https://wh1te909.github.io/tacticalrmm/) which I have now been using for quite a while and this works great for remote control and monitoring. Plus they have a fairly active Discord Server for support and discussion. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Certbot Renewal issue
I am pretty noob at certs and renewals but managed to get https working on my internal server from the initial setup of TacticalRMM. During the install it sets you up with certbot and I'm on version 0.40.0. I completed a DNS challenge on my live domain and boom it worked now I was able to make it work after making some local DNS records for my server. Now it is coming up with renewal and I cannot figure it out. Source: over 2 years ago
