Based on our record, ListenBrainz seems to be a lot more popular than Wavy.fm. While we know about 43 links to ListenBrainz, we've tracked only 4 mentions of Wavy.fm. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
There's also ListenBrainz, run by the MusicBrainz org, which offers similar functionality without API restrictions or other paid features that Last.FM tries to push. https://listenbrainz.org/ If you wish to use your scrobble data at all programmatically this is a far better tool to use. - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago
If you really <3 clean data you can give listenbrainz.org a go (you can scrobble to that and last.fm concurrently so no need to ‘jump ship’). Source: 8 months ago
Thanks for sharing, yea listenbrainz.org has been doing some great work. Also has an API which can make things interesting. Source: 10 months ago
One way I keep up is using https://listenbrainz.org/ to track my listening habits. Then when you're logged in https://listenbrainz.org/explore/fresh-releases/ will show new releases from artists you listen to, and with KPop you can assume there is video(s) to go with each new release so I just go to youtube then to find them. Spotify at least was the problem when there was tons of people complaining daily. But if last.fm is the problem now and otherwise you could try https://listenbrainz.org/ as well. You can even import your last.fm history. Source: 11 months ago
I think a lot of lastfm not detecting music is actually a Spotify problem. wavy.fm went on hiatus specifically to find a way around Spotify's eternally broken API. Almost everytime Spotify stops scrobbling, local files will work perfectly fine for me. Source: over 1 year ago
From what I've read it's mainly a Spotify issue. Most of the time when "scrobbling doesn't work" it's only Spotify and anything from a different source scrobbles just fine. Lastfm alternative wavy.fm went on hiatus at the end of last year specifically so they could work a way around Spotify's API because that's what's causing all the problems. Source: over 1 year ago
Sorry for not being able to answer your question, but wavy.fm is really good. If you use spotify, you can sync the way last.fm allows you to. Source: almost 3 years ago
I had a good time too before the overhaul happened in late summer 2015. I met lots of people, interacted with many others in popular groups and forums. Now it's a dull platform meant to track your listening habits. There is a new alternative called wavy.FM. This year they are bringing communities such as groups and forums. I cannot wait for it to that happen. I read in FAQ that you can send a message to a staff... Source: about 3 years ago
