You can edit, insert, splice, overwrite, etc. To your heart's content in your favorite text editor and get a high-quality engraving as output. As far as the basics of notation and sequencing, there aren't many 'simple' ones left, but if your focus is notation then RoseGarden is a classic. The SQ-2 has a built-in sequencer that might be easier to use than software. Source: about 1 year ago
