This area only recently, but I think macOS is still behind. When I'm using macOS, I can't stand the GUI without these tools: Rectangle: https://rectangleapp.com/ Easy Move+Resize: https://github.com/dmarcotte/easy-move-resize They move the macOS desktop usability near the place where KDE was in. - Source: Hacker News / 9 months ago
Yep, I find it pretty funny that my #1 favorite desktop UI feature is from Linux. One of the first things I'll put on a fresh install of Windows or MacOS is a utility that re-creates the behavior. I use AltDrag on Windows (requires a quick tweak for HiDPI): https://stefansundin.github.io/altdrag/ And Easy Move + Resize on MacOS: https://github.com/dmarcotte/easy-move-resize. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago

AltTab - Windows alt-tab on macOS
Rectangle - Window management app based on Spectacle, written in Swift.
SMBAct - Cross-platform window manager and switcher.
altdrag - AltDrag allows you to move and resize windows much easier.
rcmd - rcmd makes app switching instantaneous! When you have a lot of apps open, finding and switching to them might feel too slow using Command-Tab or the Dock.Hold down the right side |⌘ command| and press the first letter of the app name to focus it.
Moom - Move your mouse over the green zoom button in any window, and Moom's mouse control overlay will appear (as seen in the above animation).
