The LanguageTool extension is decent and picks up on a lot of mistakes, but nowhere close to all of them. For example, it will identify if you wrote an article that can never go with a given noun (like "der Auto"), but will not recognize a case error (like using "das Auto" in Dativ). Then for the longest time, Wufoo[1] (a hosted service) took care of my contact form but I could no longer deal with the spam. I built a form-to-email service like Formspree or Getform. My API accepts form submissions from the client, parses the request with formidable, and then sends the fields via email to the user.
