Lainchan VS Tildes

I know lainchan.org's tech board is into that kind of thing, you can search for their web-ring thread somewhere there. I like creating JS-less sites, and it's fun because HTML and CSS have a lot more functionality than one would imagine. I think they'd rather have one community rather than multiple communities oriented around different subjects. I don’t think comments make a story more visible on HN, it’s not like https://tildes.net/ My belief actually is that visibility of posts is suppressed if they get, say, 20 comments and already have 50 votes.
