No I don't have any special lag. But I also don't use the default reading app, I use Koreader. I think the normal reading app also doesn't have much lag. Most modern eReaders have much less than 5s lag. Source: 10 months ago
You can use your browser for both, there are extensions(FireFox - PDF & EPUB/Chrome - PDF& EPUB) for that. In case, you want you use a separate software for them, I suggest SumatraPDF--it handles both PDFs and .EPUB files. Source: about 1 year ago
