I still have to try https://ci-en.net/, https://slushe.com/, https://ko-fi.com/, https://catbox.moe/, I heard they were possible good alternatives. But I couldn't say, dunno yet. Source: 6 months ago
I did, however, remember another crowdfunding platform that may be the best of both worlds here (second highest voted so far being Patreon). Ko-fi: it offers both monthly and one-time donations as well as a store where we could sell things like early access keys or things like that. Their fees are very low as well, capping out at 5%. You can get a European bank account with Wise and transfer the money to your SA bank account at much lower fees than PayPal or whatnot. You will also get much better conversion rates than having the company do SWIFT payments into your SA account. Source: 12 months ago
Have you looked into a Wise multi currency account? I believe you can setup SEPA (euro) direct debits with it as well as send SEPA transfers in euros with low fees: https://wise.com/gb/multi-currency-account/. Source: almost 2 years ago
If not, I would also recommend Wise. It's a great service, especially if you are going to need to fund the account with both GBP and EUR. Not only can you use Wise to move GBP to EUR, you could also use it as a multi-currency bank account. Source: about 2 years ago
Yeah I agree - OP should investigate getting a Wise multi currency account in USD https://wise.com/gb/multi-currency-account/. Source: about 2 years ago
