I read it and it looks like they studied r/TheRedPill, r/DatingAdvice, r/Atheism, and r/TheDonald, but I don't see where it suggests the results might apply to subreddits such as r/religion or other discussion platforms such as kialo.com. My question is about science crowd competition sites such as spaceappschallenge.org , xprize.com or innocentive.com . These organizations are trying to develop new organizational models for science, and I think the initiative to include the general public is great. I was a solver on a different team for the netflix challenge. Our team didn't win the grand prize. I would have expected that a blog post to discuss how this was structured.
