My car previous to my current one, I went to Car Pros Kia in Tacoma...looked up the AVERAGE sale price on kbb.com and said "This is what I will pay". I wasn't lowballing, I just wanted to pay the average price that others are paying in my region. The sales guy TOOK MY PHONE back to show the manager...then came back and said they could do that. When I'm pricing out bikes, I search through ads in Facebook Marketplace and craigslist to see what that model of bike and other similar bikes are selling for. I find sites like kbb.com wildly out of tune with what folks are actually asking locally. Source: 10 months ago
$1500. With some major issues. It was a Subaru. They were more concerned with scratches than the mechanics it seemed. There was no rust on my var. Your Honda is probably worth more. You can probably just call them but I found them by getting an offer from kbb.com. They are affiliated with them. Other good resources for locating cars are cars.com, and truecar.com - I think both allow you to do a 'nationwide' search. If you couple this with the spreadsheet, what you'll see is, not all Toyota dealers are equal, with some dealers getting considerably more inventory than others for certain car types.
