Top 8 Best Payroll Software For Accountants In 2022
Given its exceptional UX, flexibility, mobile access, customizable reports, and easy onboarding for new employees and contractors, Gusto is a good option for accountants working with smaller-sized teams. However, unfortunately, Gusto's core plan lacks time-tracking features, and it’s worth mentioning that some users have complained about its poor customer service. While...

Gusto is an online HR platform that will appeal to both experienced and novice payroll administrators. The software has a simple layout, and it’s friendly toward users who are not tech-savvy. The onboarding process is easy, and the tool offers a rich library of helpful documents that should enable your team to use all of its functions in good time.

BambooHR Review 2019: Pricing, Features, Alternatives
Gusto Core is limited to payroll processing and costs $39 per month, with $6 a month per employee. The Complete package, which includes much of the same functionality as BambooHR, costs the same base-level $39 a month with an additional $12 per employee instead of $6. Gusto also has a new option for contractor-only employers, who simply pay the $6/employee rate and no base...

  • How do I do my taxes?
Irs.gov and keepertax.com are good resources, the first being a harder read given it's the IRS. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Tax on webcam
Yes, it's required to pay taxes on your income. You should have received 1099s from your platform if you made at least $600. They're not required to send you a form if you made under that, but you are legally obligated to report all income regardless if your total income reaches a certain threshold (I think, can't remember that number). Depending on county/state, you pay federal, state, and business tax. I suggest... Source: about 1 year ago
  • Ask HN: Consultants, what tax software do you use?
I recently discovered https://keepertax.com through OpenAI, apparently it uses GPT-3 to do some analysis on potential expenses. Does anyone have experience with KeeperTax? - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
  • UberDrivers be careful with keepertax.com. I think they are giving out people's information?
I cant be too sure but its crazy how I just had a dark web problem and signed up for this site last month. Be careful with keepertax.com. Source: about 2 years ago

Gusto mentions (18)

  • As a completely inexperienced newbie, how does salary payment work?
If they are W2 or 1099, look at gusto.com, but I would encourage you to speak with a CPA so they can best advise you on your situation. If you do things wrong, it could put you in a lot of legal trouble. Source: over 1 year ago
  • The Fair Tax Act Aims to Abolish the IRS and Set a National Sales Tax. Here's How It Would Work
There's Quickbooks for accounting. There's Gusto for payroll. There's CalendarCrush for invoicing. It'll cost you about $200 a month to get tooled correctly and you're off to the races. Source: over 1 year ago

  • Do I need to out my 18y old on as an employee?
W2 employee - More complicated to setup but there are lots of great services like Gusto that do pretty much everything for you. Then you just run payroll and taxes are taken out of his check. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Hiring a Canadian for ad hoc, hourly work (I'm a US person, not yet a business)
Third - the 1099. If you have a consulting contract, then you don't have to pay taxes for the individual. The consulting contract will clearly state that they are responsible for all taxes, including self-employment taxes. I still use a payroll service (gusto.com in my case, but whatever floats your boat) to pay contractors, that way someone else is taking care of the 1099s and such, which can be a pain in the ass.
