Depending on where you end up staying, consider flying to Burbank (BUR). airport. Its vastly smaller than LAX, so quicker to get in and out of, shorter lines at security, etc. And its closer than LAX to places like Hollywood. If CT means New York metro area, you can get nonstop to Burbank on JetBlue from JFK. Otherwise likely looking at at least one stop, but I imagine there's no non-stops to LAX either unless... I had used rentalcars.com but then after a while I started getting nervous (I read the voucher). I did more research and the company I had picked had really sketchy reviews. I think you imagine this more complicated as it is. I've experienced processes of car rental companies as speedy and comfortable. We always book via rentalcars.com at a premium rental company. This gives you a significant discount. I use rentalcars.com only for the rental - NOT for the additional insurance. This you get from the front desk member when you pick up the car.
