  • Seeking advice on one rulebook to rule them all
When you said hopefully to include player campaign notes, I thought of kanka. It's somewhat less feature-rich, I think, but it is potentially-free and collaborative. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Help with organizing and remembering important things about the universe.
Our group has been using Kanka (https://kanka.io/en) for the past few years and it’s been super helpful. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Campaign Management Tools?
Some people I know have recommended kanka: https://kanka.io/en. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Is there any software/drive shortcut to make wiki style Campaign Notes?
I use Kanka, I’ve found it to be excellent. A few key points: - there are loads of different page types you can create, characters, locations, organisations, items, it’s quite varied. Although you can’t make custom ones I’ve never needed to. - you can easily link to other pages within your Kanka campaign by typing and @ followed by the name of the page, so @Barry will pop up a list for you to select from your... I've also heard some pretty good things about Kanka (https://kanka.io/en), though I haven't tried it myself yet. Source: over 2 years ago

  • Need Advice for Passing a Campaign on to a Player to DM. Warning: Kind of a Bummer
And fantasia Archive ( https://fantasiaarchive.com/ ) to structure the rest and organize the worldbiilding and the adventures. If you want to integrate images to fatasia archive, you must use online hosting (imgur the best). And go on the discord, there is a command pinned (it just an html image reference) to link your images. The underlining code of Fantasia archive is in markdown but there is a WYSIWYG editor.... • Worldbuilding + ADHD and similar disabilities/limitations...
If you don't like this method, there are other technological alternatives. Some are online (and have small prices) like World Anvil, Campfire, Inkarnate (not a writing tool, but it's a crazy good mapmaking tool). If you don't want something online with a pricetag, try Fantasia Archive, which is free and not online. It's not as good as the online tools, but it's still great. I've been trying it for some weeks now... Source: over 1 year ago
  • [OC] If you're about to start a new campaign, I strongly recommend making a calendar
I had been using Fantasia Archive, but updates have unfortunately been very slow over the last couple years, and I was already thinking about jumping ship. This might be a good chance to do so. 🤔. Source: over 1 year ago
  • what do you use to worldbuild?
I've found Fantasia Archive to be a great way to keep things neat. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Is there a software like world anvil and kanka but free?
Both Fantasia Archive and World Maker are downloadable, free, open source projects (I haven't actually used either, but they look decent). Obsidian is also a decent free option for a desktop/personal wiki, though not worldbuilding specific. There's a guide to using it as a GM tool, which is similar to worldbuilding.
