LetsEncrypt ISRG Root X1's IdenTrust DST Root CA X3 cross-signing has come to an end. This means that any device/browser (including KaiOS devices) which doesn't yet trust the ISRG Root X1 will no longer trust any site with a LetsEncrypt certificate (which, by the way, includes kaiostech.com!). Did you set up that Gmail account yourself, or is it attached to theirs? I set up my kids' email addresses so they would be able to register to play games like Minecraft, but they were under a family plan, so they are mine and I can search them if I find it necessary, including things like history.
