I tried learning the classic Java version and had modest success. But as soon as I needed to pass large arrays to the shader I got lost in the complexity. I know it requires some kind of interaction with PGL on a PGraphicsOpenGL which "includes a full GLES 2.0 interface" and is documented elsewhere... Most likely it's on sale once every odd month, and discount percentages are only ever increasing over time. So really you can just buy it when you think you have time to play it soon.
