  • What are people expecting as far as ageing bodies
I make playlists using jog.fm for the pace I want to improve to, so I have them set up for the next few paces to get me where I need to be! Source: over 1 year ago
  • What's your favorite running tip or hack?
You can also go to jog.fm and find songs by bpm and create your own playlist, though I admit this is a lot of work because it seems like 98% of the songs out there you want are nowhere near 180. I had to limit myself to 177-183 (and 88-92) and most songs were b-sides. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Fellow distance runners, music or no music?
I had to find it again, but https://jog.fm has information about songs like this. I don't personally use it anymore, but it was neat. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Super Moronic Monday - Your Weekly Tuesday Stupid Questions Thread
I read recently that ideal bpm for footstrikes is around 180 with some personal variation and that most newbies' bpm is inefficiently slow and risks heal striking. Sure enough my bpm is way below 180, so I messed around with jog.fm and did a few kms at 160ish (faster than my normal bpm). My issue is that as I increase bpm, I also increase effort (and speed) to a point where I can't hold a conversation. My question... Source: over 2 years ago
  • Audio Running Stories
Thanks, I've actually used jog.fm to help me create a huge Spotify playlist. But I'm looking for stories, because even with a huge playlist I get tired of listening to just music. Source: almost 3 years ago

  • Next steps for Postgres pluggable storage
To add more detail on the recent work on the ZHeap storage engine. We (Heroic Labs) sponsored work for the Cybertec team to bring it up to date with latest improvements and changes with Postgres' pluggable storage engine:. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Is there anyway to create an “online guild” system in my idle game.
You can do that, but for what platform? html5? windows? android?, the most easiest way is use firestore a service from firebase (offer a free tier), it is the easiest way not the better, other way is use a service like nakama that is more professional and something in the middle can be mmm pocketbase or supabase. • Starred a game and want to make multi-player like stardew, tips?
I recommend the backend solution called Nakama since you’re using Godot: https://heroiclabs.com/. Source: about 1 year ago
  • I discover that MMORPG are really hard to make
I read using nakama server for this is convinient. Https://heroiclabs.com/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Recommendations for Tech for 1v1 RTS Indie Game
Does anyone have recommendations on what to use? I've done a bit of research and found https://heroiclabs.com/. It's a bit unclear to me if it actually supports server side state because it talks about 'hosts' a bit, but I think it does...and it seems like you can host it yourself to avoid the $600 a MONTH! pricetag. But any other recommendations? Has anyone used heroic before? Source: over 1 year ago
