If you aren't a dev, you'll also need tools that can load the CPT content and display it - Crocoblock have a range of products that do that - I believe this one https://crocoblock.com/plugins/jetengine/ will do that you're after, though they only work with Elementor-based sites.   Heh, I've been there as well a decade ago when switching from windows to macos. Far manager was also the first program I'd also install on any box.
