What phone do you have? Android or iOS? How did you download the app – via the official website jaxx.io or did you go to the app store and search for it that way? If the latter, you could have downloaded a fake app that steals your keys (this has happened to people very often, just look at old posts on this sub). Or maybe malware got installed on your phone. I'd recommend trying this stuff first. Get yourself a wallet, get just a little bit of Bitcoin and start using it. For BCH look at https://bestbchwallets.com/. For BTC there are a lot of options, e.g., https://wallet.mycelium.com/ or https://electrum.org/. Buy something with it or send a little to a friend. Https://wallet.mycelium.com/ is free & has existed for a long time. It would be best to download through your phone's app store, not as a link some random person on reddit links for you. It is easy to use. I am pretty sure all of them are free. Source: over 2 years ago
