I'm using interserver.net for the first time. I saw some decent recommendations for them. I have been reaching out to their support and I am discovering that they don't appear to provide any kind of VPN protection. They responded to me saying that they have the Windows firewall turned on. Ok, after looking at the comments, it’s renting. If you wanna get better bang for your buck, and you’re willing to mess with a terminal window, you could use something like interserver.net which costs slightly less, and is potentially faster (it really depends on the CPU in the server‘s plan). My solution, that I started to use probably 20 years ago, is having my own emails & domain on a webhost server. Expect to pay $30 for a webhost, domain name & registration each year.
