Free Online Graph Paper might have something close. Once you pick a type of sheet, you can change some of the parameters then download a PDF. Source: 12 months ago
You might be able to print something close to that here: https://incompetech.com/graphpaper/. Source: 12 months ago
But if you really want to bake the grid, then my method would be to get a grid e.g. From some template. You can generate any size at incompetech. Then you open the grid pdf in inkscape, drop your map, pull the grid above it, adjust colors, scaling, etc. Then export as PNG, later convert to any other format you want. Source: 12 months ago
I'll also add a free* map paper option... https://incompetech.com/graphpaper/ Can custom create any size/shape. I have 30x30 sheets I used to "test" the plotter at work (ancient inkjet so it needed to be run every so often anyway) and a fair stack of 11x17 sheets I can tape together in whatever configuration makes sense for the map. Check out Mochi if you’re looking for an alternative. It probably ticks most of your boxes already. https://mochi.cards/. - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
No one has mentioned it yet, so I'll drop this alternative: https://mochi.cards/ Much prettier than Anki, has a simpler algorithm that doesn't require rating difficulty, and has lots of the same features. I'm a subscriber just because of the cloud sync - wish I could self-host but I'm happy to support the developer. - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
Not OP, but I develop Mochi [0] which is a spaced repetition flash card app that has text-to-speech and a bunch of other stuff built in (transcription, dictionaries, etc.) that you might be interested in. [0] https://mochi.cards. - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
You can try Mochi (not my site) if you don't like Anki. Source: 9 months ago
I built Mochi [0] from the ground up to be local first. The architecture is built around pouchdb for the local database which syncs to and from a remote couchdb database. It's been a challenge to implement and in hindsight I wonder if it was even worth it. Unfortunately neither of these technologies are very widely used any more (if they ever were). I am glad there is a lot of development and research in this area... - Source: Hacker News / 9 months ago
