If you dont know how to use any vector graphic editor you can try some "easy" online editors. Just google ".svg editor online" or "vector editor online". You should be able to import original folder icon, delete the godot logo and add another. If you are open to svg based gifs, it is so much easier. SVG is a far different image technology than bitmap. There are no issues with the ghosted edges and it will be crisp at any size. Because it is actually code and not pixels, you can even change a lot of it after it is made.
