For fun I use I Write Like, it analyzes your writing and tells you the closest match to a published author. Source: about 2 years ago
When I let this bot analyze my writing ( https://iwl.me ), the most frequent result I get is that I write like Agatha Cristie. There are 50 authors you could possibly be matched with and I would have thought I might be more likely to be matched with Rowling or Gaiman or even Doyle... But I think every time but once it's matched me with her. :). Source: over 2 years ago
I also use this cool website from time to time (https://iwl.me ) that tells you which author's writing style your writing resembles. Source: over 2 years ago
In another thread today, about the I Write Like (iwl.me) website, a lot of people were likened to Agatha Christie, me included. I don't care for Christie, but I do like the idea of "no nonsense," but I'm not sure what it means. It just feels good. Can someone give some examples of writing which does incorporate "nonsense?". Https://iwl.me/ -- write a bit into the box, and it'll tell you which famous author you write like! Source: over 2 years ago
Heptabase is terrific. If you are however very very visual: https://milanote.com/. Source: 5 months ago
I like Milanote for a lot of writing tasks and use the paid version. In my novel-length works, each character gets a "board," which can be a character profile, reference art, a mood board, etc. Or ALL of those in one. Your mileage will depend on your tolerance of the price point and how many characters you have. Source: 11 months ago
And here's a tool to help: https://milanote.com/ I've fallen in love with this thing because it let's you construct a visual board with it all your nodes a separate bubbles connected with lines, basically a digital cork board for pining then and stifling things around as the players proceed to waltz through your world. Milanote looks very similar I think. Source: 12 months ago
Milanote. Something that just lets you have boards within boards, in a free-form note space. Not Joplin or Obsidian. Even though those two are spectacular, they don't have the board format I like for some projects. A self hosted alternative would be amazing! Source: 12 months ago
