- For certain use cases, getting good performance is a bit tricky. However, a similar usecase with UIKit would also be tricky. Sometimes a really smooth UI takes a bit more dedication. The major downside, as of today (for me) is that SwiftUI is not downwards compatible. Enhance does not natively support rendering markdown into HTML, which is out of scope for the project. Instead, we rely on markdown-it, an excellent JavaScript markdown parser that is endlessly configurable with plugins. For my own static site generator, Jellybean, one feature of Docusaurus that I wanted to implement was full markdown support. This is because my static site generator previously only had partial markdown support, which is not very user-friendly. Showing them isn't limited by any API at least. They are directly taken from one of the "gif" sites, the source message for them looks like this ![gif](giphy|LGobjSx3acxqg).
