Are you set on staying at a hotel? I am Marriott Titanium, and my last two visits to Florence (and one upcoming in about 3 weeks), we've stayed at Marriott Homes & Villas properties, rather than hotels, which feel overpriced (especially the Westin & St Regis, but the Sina Villa Medici does look cool though). Marriott is a always less generous - sometimes they have a slight multiplication special like in the screenshot, but usually they're 1:1. I'm keeping an eye on that, though, because Marriott has an established AirBnB style service of their own - except they vet/inspect all the properties AND you don't have to clean on the way out - that you can use points for! If you have a lot of weddings, airbnb is a very viable option. From a guy who used to cater weddings, you do not want to be on the hospitality side of someone "on the most special day of their life". Stay on the real estate side. We put 6 1BR airbnb's on our ranch and they would cover your mortgage 3-4X over with upside on the busiest months.
