i've used https://home.by.me/en/ which is free to do 3D walk arounds. Its not perfect but you can add furnishings etc to give a better idea of the area and layout. Took me about 2 hours to learn and create a 2 storey design. I found it much easier that getting to grips with Sketchup. Source: 12 months ago

Asset Forge $19.95 https://assetforge.io/ Put together pre-made blocks to design new objects. Obviously since it uses pre-made blocks you can't make arbitrary models. But the included library of blocks is so huge that I usually find what I need. Source: over 1 year ago

Asset Forge is an awesome piece of software if you're cool with the low poly art style it uses. Doesn't support rigging or animation, though, so you'd have to use something else to do that. Source: almost 2 years ago

Yes! It's also not expensive to buy most models and a lot of creators will offer a set of models at a discounted rate. There's also some pretty great beginner friendly modeling programs out there now that are more like kit bashing such as https://assetforge.io/. Source: almost 2 years ago
