HNPWA VS Tildes

Hackernews has been my main information source for a long time. I used to explore with web clients from https://hnpwa.com/ for modern reading experiences. Cross-device bookmark is always a missing feature for those front end apps. This might be a bit controversial but mostly authentication is framework agnostic. Usually the part you care about is access rights which is usually handled by your routing library. But I get what you're referring to. Hacker news and medium are weirdly the alternatives you might be looking for. A really simple project I just finished is building a PWA client for hacker news. I personally used React with Tailwind for mine, but there's a GitHub repo here (sadly archived now) that fully outlines a spec to go off, as well as providing you with an API to fetch the stories from. I don’t think comments make a story more visible on HN, it’s not like https://tildes.net/ My belief actually is that visibility of posts is suppressed if they get, say, 20 comments and already have 50 votes.
