Helm Personal Server VS SoloKeys

All I can find on the status of Armbian images for Helm v1 hardware is in the farewell message at thehelm.com: "We are still working on firmware updates for v1 servers to run Armbian." I am very much looking forward to having my v1 server running a Linux server so I can repurpose it, and for all other v1 owners to have that same option. I guess it depends on which parts they need to be better. From a functionality standpoint I would list, hey.com, fastmail and icloud as better. mailbox.org is better on being a traditional mail host you access using your own client (no wierd bridge app). hey.com and icloud are US hosted if that matters to you. All phones ask for PIN or pattern in addition to face/fingerprint. Use that. For the average user this is safe enough. (i.e) keep google/apple password safe. Also take a look at solokeys. They are very affordable and support FIDO2 and FIDO U2F -- meaning they have overlapping protocols with Bitwarden, and they certainly work on Google. Source: over 1 year ago
