That said, there has been a huge amount of relevant cryptography research lately, particularly in the zero knowledge space, which unlocks more coverage of desirable security properties (less trusting of centralized providers, more privacy, more auditability, more deniability, etc). Electionbuddy.com is the cheapest one and is not that hard to set up. It IS legal in most states, you just have to mail out a postcard and let them know they can also print it out and mail it in. Since most people are cheap they wont' spend the $0.65 for a stamp. Source: 5 months ago

Many states allow for online voting using websites like electionbuddy.com With online voting there is no need for a proxy. Proxies in general shoudl be avoided.
