Healthchecks.io is a monitoring service for your cron jobs. Have you ever thought "If this nightly backup script breaks one day, six months from now, I wonder how soon will anyone notice?". With Healthchecks monitoring, you will get notified just minutes after your cron job fails to complete on time. With PagerDuty integration, Healthchecks will be able to use PagerDuty alerting functionality already implemented in your organization.
Setting up the monitoring for your cron jobs only takes minutes. For each monitored cron job, Healthchecks.io creates a unique ping URL. Edit each cron job to send a HTTP request to its ping URL just before the job finishes. Healthchecks.io keeps track of the received pings, and sends alerts as soon as any of your cron jobs does not check in at the expected time.

If anything mentioned fails I have healthchecks.io set to send me an email + whatsapp message. - Source: Reddit / 5 days ago
Yeah. I'd need a TCP/UDP service hosted on the public web, which would need its own monitoring. It could though function as a system uptime health check 🤔. Although, I don't know if I want sysit to do that. healthchecks.io has been super reliable. - Source: Reddit / 30 days ago
Same problem here. That's why I'm discarding healthchecks.io and looking for a scheduler with metrics or notifications that I can integrate with Gotify. - Source: Reddit / about 1 month ago
You can monitor availability via self-hosted uptime-karma or i.e. healthchecks.io and receive notification on bunch of platforms like telegram, discord, pushbullet and other. - Source: Reddit / about 1 month ago
That's something I actually didn't consider. If I scrub lets say once a month I should be able to detect any corrupted data and manually restore it from backup even if I'm not running in raid, and the detection part could be easily doable with an automated script reporting to a service like healthchecks.io. I'm now considering this as an option vs buying an extra drive just to prevent bitrot. Thanks. - Source: Reddit / about 1 month ago
