Noko Time Tracking is a web-based time tracking app designed to help consultants and teams track their time and manage projects more efficiently.
A highly optimized user-friendly interface allows to easily create projects (even while tracking time!) and track time, either directly with timers to track time in real-time. The platform also allows users to add comments and descriptions to time entries, helping to provide context and streamline communication within a team.
One of the key features of Noko Time Tracking is the reporting: reports are generated in real-time and can be exported in various formats with one-click for further analysis or billing purposes.
Users can also set up budgets and goals for projects, tasks and combinations thereof, helping to monitor project costs and stay within budget, like "work 4 hours on SEO every week".
Integrations with popular project management and accounting tools like Basecamp and QuickBooks, making it easy to sync time tracking data with other software used by a team or organization.
Security is a priority for Noko Time Tracking, and the platform uses encryption and secure data storage to protect user information, having been in business since 2008 and tracking literally millions of work hours across thousands of companies.
There's a free trial and affordable month-by-month or yearly plans, without long-term commitments or complicated contracts.

If that’s not enough, I’ve had good experience with http://getharvest.com (and accompanying tools from them). Source: 12 months ago

I use getharvest.com to track hourly and convert them to invoice. The only thing I don't like is that I have to add the task in the web dashboard rather than entering directly in the desktop app. There is 'note' field, but it won't show up in the invoice detail, so it is useless for me.
