I use Automate the boring stuff (book) as a base for learning Python basics and supplement it by googling concepts/syntax I don't fully understand or would like to know more about. I practice a lot by doing coding exercises (i. e. w3resource.com has exercises with solutions, but I also google other ways of solving a problem), and I try to have a solid grip on the concept I'm learning before moving on to another.
