Anything this common becomes noise, since it doesn't add any new information. Heres' another way to look at it: since the idea of HN is to be intellectually interesting (https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=true&sort=byDate&type=comment&query=curiosity%20optimiz%20by:dang), repetition is the most important thing to avoid... - Source: Hacker News / 3 days ago
At least as far as Hacker News is concerned, I'd call htmx way more marketed. It has hundreds of HN submissions in the past year alone [0] including one that broke 1000 points, compared to Hotwire which is sitting at about 40 submissions in the past year [1], the most popular of which is this one. Authorities compel tech companies to hand over data and place backdoors. They typically abuse secrecy laws to avoid public backlash, but their public demands have gotten bolder since the Snowden disclosures. https://www.reuters.com/technology/cybersecurity/governments-spying-apple-google-users-through-push-notifications-us-senator-2023-12-06/... - Source: Hacker News / 5 days ago
Yes but please try to avoid repetition on HN. The GP's response was rude and broke the site guidelines but https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=true&query=hachyderm.io%2F%40inthehands&sort=byDate&type=comment does look excessive to me. - Source: Hacker News / 6 days ago

Neat! There's also Redirector [1], which allows to do all kinds of redirects like this. For example, I use it to redirect from YouTube to Invidious or from Booking.com confirmation page to the variant without upsells (which are otherwise tricky to block with uBlock Origin). Then let a browser plugin do it. Works well so far, but it's still an imposition what reddit does here, unreadable. e.g. https://einaregilsson.com/redirector/. Source: 6 months ago
This is cool but imo it makes more sense to have URL redirection as a browser extension. That way all twitter links resolve to nitter. I use this one https://einaregilsson.com/redirector/. - Source: Hacker News / 10 months ago
I still have a few accounts I glance at from time to time. Hockey, Game Devs, Artists, etc. Who haven't migrated away despite everything, so this is kinda obnoxious. I created some Redirector (https://einaregilsson.com/redirector/) rules to redirect Tweet and Twitter Profile URLs to their HTML embed equivalents. Should be able to just import the rules and it seems to work alright with some caveats. - Source: Hacker News / 11 months ago
