Chicken and egg problem. I need Amazon Associates (Product API) to start, but can't get access until I have sales?
I was thinking about working on a site similar to this: https://kit.co. Where users can create product bundles for specific hobbies and interests. To create the bundle you search for the product and it pulls in all the product details (photo, title, etc.), presumably using the Amazon Product API.
