Here's an idea that I would have always taken advantage of had I been good at graphics design. Go to a website like graphicriver.net and check out the different types of graphics people sell there and look for the best sellers and try and do a better version of what the best selling graphics are. I like having a visual indicator in my page titles, but I never really liked the emojis or built-in Notion icons, so now I use flaticon.com on just about every page/database template.
