  • Can't hurt, right?
I canceled my subscription a while ago because I've been using my GPT-4 solely through the API with my GPT app. I haven't noticed any decline in the quality of GPT-4, so my assumption is that the model isn't the problem. Instead, they may have broken the website somehow. Hopefully, they get it fixed! Source: 9 months ago
  • Looking for a Comprehensive Guide for Building Complex Chatbots with GPT-4 API
GPT API returns data in markdown format. You can parse it using a Markdown library and string manipulation. On Electron app I developed https://jhappsproducts.gumroad.com/l/gpteverywhere, I used https://github.com/markedjs/marked and a code syntax highlighting package to display code blocks. And used JavaScript string manipulation to detect when code blocks start and end so I could add COPY/SAVE buttons to the... Source: 11 months ago
  • People who have access to GPT4 via either api or the open ai playground. How does it compare to the version implemented in chatGPT for plus subscribers?
I am currently using GPT only through my desktop GPT app even though it is more expensive than the GPT plus. Source: 11 months ago
  • That was a good productive month coding with GPT-4 almost every day!
Hah those were exactly my feelings when I started creating my own Desktop GPT app: https://jhappsproducts.gumroad.com/l/gpteverywhere "My story began as a tale of frustration, tired of the endless copy-pasting from the GPT website. I knew there had to be a better way."! Source: 12 months ago
  • Buy new laptop to run local model
I wanted to play with LLM but didn't want to buy new hardware. I solved that problem by using private RunPod.io, which offers powerful GPUs for only about $1 per hour. I can start and stop it as needed. First I used Oobabooga, and now I'm using the Oobabooga API along with my own https://jhappsproducts.gumroad.com/l/gpteverywhere to connect it from my desktop. So like a private remote local llama :D. Source: 12 months ago

  • Rendering Markdown with Enhance
Enhance does not natively support rendering markdown into HTML, which is out of scope for the project. Instead, we rely on markdown-it, an excellent JavaScript markdown parser that is endlessly configurable with plugins. As we use markdown in many different projects, we’ve created a node module called, Arcdown, which packages together our preferred conventions for parsing markdown files. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
  • I struggled to get markdown highlighting to work: Here’s the working code snippet 🚀
It looks like this is TypeScript using markdown-it? Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Adding Markdown Support to a Static Site Generator
For my own static site generator, Jellybean, one feature of Docusaurus that I wanted to implement was full markdown support. This is because my static site generator previously only had partial markdown support, which is not very user-friendly. Thankfully, there are a some great open-source libraries which can provide full markdown support and I decided to use markdown-it for my project. - Source: dev.to / over 2 years ago
  • Trouble with the <summary> tag
The problem is in a Jupyter Notebook markdown cell but it is reproducible here (with the html box checked). Source: about 3 years ago
  • Gif replies
Showing them isn't limited by any API at least. They are directly taken from one of the "gif" sites, the source message for them looks like this ![gif](giphy|LGobjSx3acxqg). That is directly the syntax for markdown "Show inline image", just with a weirdly formatted URL. While the small inline image is then uploaded to reddit for faster access... Source: about 3 years ago
