So I got a VPN because I don't like jut how tracked we are on the internet. I'm not like doing anything where I need to worry about the government or state actors but I believe as a principle you should have some anonymity on the internet. Please turn off the router for 10 minutes and hopefully you will get a new IP that is not being used. It is also very important that you check your IP before you do it by visiting this site https://ip2location.com/ and then compare both IPs after rebooting your router to make sure you have in fact a new IP was assigned to you. It's possible your ISP assigned a used IP address to you due to the limited amount of available IPv4 addresses. This can cause Honeygain's Network Overused error if multiple users with the same IP are using it. To solve this, turn off your router for 10 minutes to get a new IP address. Check your IP before and after rebooting using a site like https://ip2location.com/ to confirm you have a new IP. Source: 12 months ago
You can head to ip2location.com and update your location. Source: about 1 year ago
Sadly Honeygain is no longer working. I have checked my IP with ip2location.com and it has the usage type (DCH) Data Center/Web Hosting/Transit. Source: about 1 year ago
Only solution is to contact the ISP and request they update the location with ip2location.com (the provided Honeygain uses to try and validate what kind of IP address you have). Source: about 1 year ago
