  • OpenAI no longer Open. "We were wrong [...] I fully expect that in a few years it’s going to be completely obvious to everyone that open-sourcing AI is just not wise."
Open AI's work is based off of Google's research paper. Google believes in open source! https://opensource.google/ Google will save us. Google will make their AI open source. Their motto is "Don't be evil"! ... But I'm still waiting for their source code of YouTube, Gmail, drive, maps, docs, sheets, forms, search, ads, translate, sites, etc. Source: about 1 year ago
  • "My Reaction to Dr. Stroustrup’s Recent Memory Safety Comments"
It's not on google github/their open source git host(for comparison, the canonical go repo is), their readme makes no mention of google, wikipedia says "The language is expected to have a 1.0 release in 2024 or 2025.[4]",. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Questions about the controller
Google would have to open source the controller firmware for people to find a way to make Bluetooth work, but there are no discontinued Google products on opensource.google at all. Source: over 1 year ago
  • controller software open source?
Https://opensource.google/ is not listing any dead Google products my dude. Source: over 1 year ago
  • There are no open issues or pull requests on Flask
And side note, don't bring up both MS and Google when both are well known to make use of FOSS. Google has an entire page about how they both make use of and release OSS. Source: almost 2 years ago

  • Just discovered huge collection of vintage NASA space mission photos
If they're all Apollo mission images like the one above, those have all been scanned from the original flight film (mostly by me) and archived. We have digitally archived ALL of the manned mission flight film. We're currently working on digitizing what we call "institutional" imagery, images shot by Earth bound NASA photographers. We're only up to 1968 so far so we have a long ways to go, but we'll scan them all... Source: 11 months ago
  • Utah's Dark Canyon complex, seen from the International Space Station
You might also want to take a look through https://images.nasa.gov/. Source: 12 months ago
  • Fact #2
Note: We pull these from https://images.nasa.gov, and are not endorsed by NASA in any way. We simply like space pics. Source: 12 months ago
  • Shuttle TSM vs. SLS TSMU Retraction
I think you'll be able to find some other footage on the NASA media library. Outside of that, you'll have to FOIA. Source: about 1 year ago
  • NASA images
I meant NASA images from this site: https://images.nasa.gov/ not the NASA logo. Source: about 1 year ago
